KAJIAN PENGARUH PEMBERIAN HIJAUAN PAKAN TERNAK YANG TERPAPAR LOGAM BERAT (Pb) TERHADAP POPULASI MIKROBA RUMEN SECARA IN VITRO

This research was done to study of Feeding roughage spoiled with Pb to the population of rumen microbes in vitro. This research was held from 8 June to 14* June 2009 in Animal Feed and Nutrition Laboratory Agriculture Faculty of Sriwijaya University. This research was done with 4 treatment (R0, RI, R2 and parameters: 1). PopulationR3) with 4 replication were done to observed amylolytic bacteria 2). Population cellulolytic bacteria 3). Population proteolytic bacteria. Hungate culture technique and Roli tube quantification were used to obtain data on 12, 24, 36, and 48 hours. Higher + total average for bacteria population were on proteolytic bacteria (59.69 x 106 cfu), amilolytic bacteria (5.87 x 106 cfu), and cellulolytic bacteria (5.19 x 106 cfu) respectively. Bacteria’s total population for amilolytic bacteria were (94 x 106 cfu), cellulolytic bacteria (83 x 106 cfu), and proteolytic bacteria (955 x 106 cfu). Result indicate that substrate i exposed to Pb were unaffected to bacteria’s growth and population.
