PENGARUH VARIASI WAKTU DAN TEMPERATUR KARBONISASI TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK BIOBRIKET CAMPURAN PURUN TIKUS (Eleocharis dulcis) DAN SERBUK KAYU MERANTI MERAH (Shorea parvifolia)
Biobriquettes have been made from biomass using of purun tikus (Elocharis dulcis) and red meranti sawdust (Shorea parvifolia). Purun tikus and red meranti sawdust were carbonized based on temperature and time variations. Purun tikus and red meranti sawdust carbonized using furnace at 400, 450 and 500°C with time 30, 60 and 90 minutes. The carbonized charcoal is meshed and sieved though 100 mesh sieve, then be formed charcoal mixed with tapioca adhesive and plantain peel and pressed with pressing tool. The composition biobriquettes i.e. 20 g purun tikus, 60 g red meranti sawdust, 30 g tapioca adhesive and 20 g plantain pell. Biobriquettes has been produced be dried, fourhermore the biobriquettes were characterized by referring SNI 01-6235-2000. The characteristics of biobriquettes were analyzed by moisture content, ash content, volatile matter content, carbon content and calorific value. Based on results of the biobriquettes characterization, the optimum value of temperature and time are 500°C and 30 minutes respectively. The value of water content of 4.57%, ash content 8.37%, volatile metter content 51.08%, carbon content 35.96% and calorific value 15761.06 Cal/g respectively.
