This research aimed to study the effect of different levels of legume use of the Chemical composition of the combined silage kumpai minyak grass {Hymenachne amplexicaulis (Rudge) Nees) and keman air legume {Neptunia oleracea Lour). The research was conducted at two locations. Making silage was conducted in subdistrict Rambutan, Banyuasin distict. Furthermore, the proximate analysis was conducted in the Laboratory of Feed and Animal Nutrition Program Study, Agriculture Faculty of Sriwijaya University, from March 12^ until 15111 April 2014. The method used was descriptive method. The data obtained were processed by averaging the data tabulation then presented in tabular form and analyzed descriptively. The results of this research showed that there were an increase in nutrient content (dry matter, organic matter dan crude protein) and a decrease in crude fiber. Dry matter content ranged 55.09-55.96%, organic matter content among 87.02- 88.52%, Crude protein content ranged from 28.07-29.52%, crude fiber content 20.96-27.25%. The conclusion of this research was the use of legumes with different levels on the combined silage kumpai minyak grass {Hymenachne amplexicaulis (Rudge) Nees) and keman air legume {Neptunia oleracea Lour) could increase the content ofdry matter, organic matter and crude protein and lower crude fiber content on silage. The best treatment was the use of legume silage with 30% legume.
