Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kecemaan rumput kumpai minyak amoniasi secara In Vitro. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dua tahap, tahap pertama yaitu amoniasi rumput kumpai minyak {Hymenachne amplexicaulis), tahap kedua pelaksanaan In vitro dilaboratorium Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak, Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian ini mengunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap ( RAL ) yang terdiri dari 4 (empat) perlakukan dan 4 (empat) ulangan yang terdiri dari AO (Rumput kumpai minyak tanpa urea) , Al (Rumput kumpai minyak + urea 2 %), A2 (Rumput kumpai minyak + urea 4 %) dan A3 (Rumput kumpai minyak + urea 6 %). Parameter yang diamati adalah Koefisien cema bahan kering, Koefisien cema bahan organik, Produksi gas, Konsentrasi N-NH3 dan Pengukuran derajat keasaman (pH) rumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan memberikan pengaruh berbeda nyata (P0.01) terhadap koefisen cema bahan kering, produksi gas dan pH secara in vitro.
