TOMOGRAFI SEISMIK LOKAL UNTUK STRUKTUR BAWAH PERMUKAAN DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN DATA GEMPA ISC (STUDI KASUS : SUMATERA BARAT DAN SEKITARNYA)
Seismic tomography was applied to estimate subsurface structures West Sumatera. Based on anomalies of P- dan S-wave velocity (Vp and Vs) and Vp-Vs ratio. Earthquake data were downloaded from ISC (International Seismological Center) website from January 1, 1900 to August 31, 2021. Earthquake events with a minimum of 3 phase were selected for tomography input. Seismic velocity models and source parameters were estimated by using a local earthquake tomography algorithm consisting of source relocation and tomographic inversion. A checkerboard test was also conducted to evaluate horizontal and vertical resolutin. Based on the results seismicity occurred in the Sumatran subduction zone which is descanding the Indo-Australian plate beneath the Eurasian plate. In addition, Mentawai faults and Semangko faults can be identified triggering earthquakes in the West Sumatera region.
