PENGGAMBARAN BAWAH PERMUKAAN DARI DATA GEMPA DENGAN METODE TOMOGRAFI (Studi Kasus : Jawa Tengah)
Central Java is an areas which is vulnerable to earthquakes. This study aims to analysis subsurface structures in this area by using a local tomography method. This method estimated anomalies of P and S waves velocities, and Vp/Vs ratio from earthquakes data downloaded from the International Seismological Center (ISC) for 20 years (2000-2020). Arrival time data were selected for earthquake events with more than 5 phases/events for a tomography input in the LOTOS-13 software. The results shows that seismicity occurated mostly in the southern part of the study area. This seismicity was caused by friction between the Indo-Australian plate and the Eurasian plate in the subduction zone. In addition, in the depth of 0-30 km negative anomalies indicated as geological structures, such as opaque faults, lasem faults as well as a magma chamber of Mount Merapi.
