The leaves of cempedak (Artocarpus champeden) contain secondary metabolites in the form of flavonoid compounds which can be potential hepatoprotectors. This study aims to determine the effect of giving cempedak (Artocarpus champeden) leaf ethanol extract on the histopathological image of the liver of male white rats induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) based on measurement parameters of SGPT and SGOT levels, macroscopic image and histopathology of rat liver organs. The leaves of cempedak (Artocarpus champeden) were extracted using 96% ethanol for 2x24 hours. Testing of hepatoprotector activity was carried out for 16 days using 30 rats which were divided into 6 treatment groups, namely the normal control group (Na CMC 1%), positive (silimarin 200 mg / kgBW), negative (CCl4 1 mL / kgBB), and the ethanol extract test group of cempedak leaves with a dose of 250, 500 and 1000 mg / kgBB. The results showed that the ethanol extract of cempedak leaves could be efficacious as a hepatoprotector with% hepatoprotector effect (% EH) for SGPT and SGOT levels in test group I of 54,16% and 47,92%, test group II of 76,70% and 65,80% and the third test group of 97.66% and 84,19%. The results showed that the ethanol extract of cempedak leaves significantly (p
