KAJIAN TEKNIS PENGARUH JUMLAH RIFFLE PADA ALAT SHAKING TABLE TERHADAP RECOVERY DAN KADAR BIJIH TIMAH
Processing with shaking table is much affected by variables whose performance is set to obtain optimal grade and recovery. These variables include the number of riffles, deck slope, stream of water flow, stroke length, and deck movement speed. The purpose of this study was to vary the variable number of riffles, deck slope, and time on a laboratory scale to obtain the optimal grade and recovery of tin ore. The size distribution of the sample was 13.11 gr of No. 30 sieves, 77.96 gr of No. 50 sieve, 3.16 gr of No. 100 sieves, 0.69 gr of No. 200, and pan as much as 5.08 gr. The number of riffles set in this study was 16, 24, and 34. The slope of the decks determined were 2o, 3o, and 4o. While the time variations are 10, 15, and 20 minutes. In the number of riffles 16, the highest grade was obtained at a time variation of 20 minutes on the deck slope of 4o with 5.0%, while the highest recovery was on the slope of the deck 2o with 32.42%. In the number of riffles 24, the highest grade was obtained at a time variation of 20 minutes on a 4o deck slope with 10.65%, while the highest recovery was on a 2o deck slope with 79.14%. In the number of riffles 34, the highest grade was obtained at a time variation of 20 minutes on the deck slope of 4o with 6.79%, while the highest recovery was on the slope of the deck 2o with 67.49%. The effect of the number of riffles and the grade can be determined through quadratic polynomial regression analysis by the function Ŷ = -20.60449 + 2.25734 X + (-0.04384 X2). The optimal grade was obtained at the variation of the number of riffles 26 with 8.45% of Sn. While the effect the number of riffles and recovery is determined by the function Ŷ = -173.33121 + 17,376219 X + (-0.314759 X2). Optimal recovery is obtained on the variation of the number of riffles 28 with a recovery of 66.43%. The value of the coefficient of determination simultaneously shows that the variable number of riffles has 77.1% effect on the grade of Sn, the variable number of riffles has 76.3% effect on the recovery of Sn, while the rest is influenced by other factors.
