PENGARUH VARIASI TEMPERATUR PERAWATAN TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK SELF COMPACTING CONCRETE DENGAN ABU CANGKANG SAWIT
In this paper, a study was conducted on the effect of variations in steam curing on the characteristics of Self Compacting Concrete (SCC) by using 10% palm oil fuel ash (POFA) as a partial replacement for cement. The variation of steam curing given were 60°C, 70°C, 80°C and 25°C as control concrete. The characteristics discussed are the properties of fresh concrete, density and compressive strength. The results showed that the use of POFA can reduce the workability of the concrete as evidenced by the slump flow test, v-funnel test and l-box test. The fresh concrete mixture with the use of POFA has a high viscosity because the smooth POFA grains have a large surface area to absorb water so that the slump flow test results show that the slump flow diameter is smaller and the time during the v-funnel test is longer and the h2/h1 ratio in the l-box test is smaller than the mixture without POFA. While the density of concrete with the use of POFA will be lower but the resulting compressive strength will be greater. The steam curing given causes the density to get lighter with increasing temperature. Steam curing of 60°C is the optimum temperature in this study because it produces the highest compressive strength of 36,27 MPa at the variation of using 10% POFA at 28 days of age.
