PEMANFAATAN LIMBAH BUNGKIL KELAPA SAWIT (Elaeis guineesis Jacq) SEBAGAI PAKAN ALTERNATIF IKAN MAS (Cyprinus carpio L.)
The research on Solid Waste Utilization of Oil Palm (.Elaeis guineesis Jacq) as altemative feed to carp (Cyprinus carpio L.). This study aims to examine the palm oil solid waste on the growth of carp {Cyprinus carpio L.). The study was conducted in April until May 2013 in the Laboratory of Physiology, Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Sriwijaya, Indralaya. Test animals were carp aged 3-4 weeks. The design was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 5 replications with concentrations of 0% (control), 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% residue, the data analysis use variant analysis (ANOVA), if there are significant differences between the treatment can be continued with LSD (Least Significant Difference) with 95% confidence level. The results showed that the length and weight of the best carp in a concentration of 25% with palm kemel cage each is 2.6 cm and 5.8 grams . While the water quality (temperature, DO, and pH ) still in decent conditions to support the growth and survival of carp. It can concluded that the higher the concentrations of a given palm kemel cage then it will decrease level of growth in carp {Cyprinus carpio L.).
