Burn wounds have the potential to become infection, dehydration, and serious complications if not being handled right. Jackfruit leaves (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lmk.) contains of secondary metabolite such as flavonoids, tannins, saponin and steroids which has big potential to increase the time of burn wound’s healing. This research is aiming for collecting the knowledge about extract characteristic and the influence of jackfruit leaves ethanol extract application against the rate of burn wound's healing. 25 Sprague dawley rats were used as experimental animal which were divided into 5 groups; control negative groups, control positive group, and test groups K1 (94 mg/KgBW), K2 (188 mg/KgBW) and K3 (376 mg/KgBW). Parameters observed included wound area, percentage of wound healing and duration of wound healing. Wound area data were analyzed using a one-way ANOVA test to see the difference on a given day of observation. The results of extract characterization showed that the extract met the requirements in general. The results showed that the ethanol extract of jackfruit leaves (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lmk.) %Recovery of burns in the positive control, negative control, K1, K2, and K3 groups obtained %Recovery on the 14th day respectively, namely 89.9%, 76,5%, 88.8%, 87.2% and 100%. The healing time of burns in the positive control, negative control, K1, K2, and K3 groups obtained a healing time of 16 days, 18 days, 16 days, 16 days and 14 days, respectively. Treatment group 3 produced the fastest burn healing time at 14 days and produced the best %Recovery, namely 100%
