UJI TOKSISITAS TERATOGENIK EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN KIRINYUH (CHROMOLAENA ODORATA) TERHADAP FETUS MENCIT (MUS MUSCULUS)GALUR SUB SWISS WEBSTER
Kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata) is a plant with medicinal effect including antidiabetic, antibacterial, antispasmodik, antihypertensive, and anti-inflammatory. Previous research has done an acute toxicity test with an LD50 value of 16,501 g / KgBW. To complement the safety data, a special toxicity test was carried out, namely teratogenic toxicity at a dose of 100.250, and 500 mg / KgBW given orally during the organogenesis period, namely on the 9th to 17th day of pregnancy. On the 18th day the mother mice were operated on and the fetus removed from the uterus. The parameters observed were the number of fetuses, live fetuses, dead fetuses, implantation, resorption, fetal body weight, external abnormalities and internal abnormalities of the fetal skeleton. The results of the study concluded that the administration of ethanolic extract kirinyuh leaf at a dose of 100,250, and 500 mg / KgBW had a significant effect on the delay in the growth of the intraparietal bone and dumbbell sternum shape (Fhit> Fcrit 0.05) and had a very significant effect on the delay in reinforcing the supraoccipital bone, cervical vertebral body, and sacrokaudal vertebral body. , sternum cleaved shape, metacarpal, and metatarsal (Fhit> Fcrit 0.01). The DMRT test concluded that giving kirinyuh leaf ethanol extract caused teratogenic toxicity effects with a minimum dose of P (1) 100 mg/ KgBB.
