A flavonoid compound was isolated from ethyl acetate fraction of tunjuk langit’s root [Helminthostachys zeylanica (Linn) Hook]. The extraction was done by maceration method and separation of isolated compound was conducted by chromatographic technique. Isolated compound is yellow powder with melting point 300-301°C. The structure of this compound was determined based on spectroscopic data such as including UV, ER, 1-D and 2-D NMR, and the result was compared with data base. Based upon spectral data analysis could be concluded that isolated compound is flavonoid of flavon's type, that is Ugonin K [5,3\4’ -trihydroxy-7- methoxy-6- (6, 6- dimethyl-2- methylene cyclohexyl methyl) flavone].
