KOMPARASI PENENTU TINGKAT PARTISIPASI ANGKATAN KERJA DI SUMATERA SELATAN DAN SUMATERA UTARA : ANALISIS VARIABEL EKONOMI DAN SOSIAL
The study aims to determine what variables are affect the Labor Force Participation Rate in South and North Sumatera and compare which variables are dominant in these two provinces. The analysis used in this study is descriptive quantitative data analysis using panel data and selecting the model with the chow test, hausman test and lagrange multiplier. The analysis was carried out using the eviews 9 application. The result of these study indicate that in South Sumatera, the variables that have a significant effect are the minimum wage and teha Mean Years School (MYS), while Gross Domestic Regional Product and Total Population have no significant effect statistic. Meanwhile in North Sumatera, the variables that have a significant effect are the minimum wage and Total Population, while Gross Domestic Regional Product and Mean Years School have no significant effect statistic.
