ANALISIS KUALITATIF DAN KUANTITATIF ASAM LEMAK TAK JENUH OMEGA-3 DAN KARAKTERISASI MINYAK PADA IKAN MAS (Cyprinus carpio)
Indonesia has a great potention of gold fish cultivation, so a research for other application is needed. At first, qualitative and quantitative analisis of poly unsaturated fatty acid DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eikosaoentaenoic acid) was determined with Gas Chromatography and fish oil characteristic, including acid value, safonification value and peroxide value used the BSN method. The result of research showed that characterization of fish oil was extracted from sampel 1, II, and III with each acid value is 3.40 mg KOH/g; 8.263 mg KOH/g; 34.59 mg KOH/g respectively, safonification number is 73.46; 85.396; 118.49 respectively and peroxide value 0.89 mek/kg; 5.18mek/kg; 15.31 mek/kg respectively. DHA Composition of samples is 1.89%; 1.79%; 1.09% respectively and EPA composition of samples is 0.47%; 0.6%; 0.25% respectively. Base this result, since DHA and EPA contend of gold fish is lower than sea fish oil, suggest that gold fish can’t be used as omega-3 altemative omega-3.
