Lung cancer is the uncontrolled growth of cancer cells in lung tissue due to malignancies originating from outside the lungs or from the lungs themselves . The symptoms that often appear in lung cancer patients due to direct tumor growth, one of which is shortness of breath. This condition causes respiratory problems in the patient, so appropriate treatment is needed. The combination of deep breathing relaxation and semi-Fowler's position is proven to be able to overcome breathing problems. The purpose of this paper is to describe nursing care for lung cancer patients with a focus on giving deep breath relaxation therapy and semi-Fowler's position according to evidence based. The method used in this paper is a qualitative research method with a case study approach in three patients with lung cancer. The results showed that the three patients had the main complaints, namely shortness of breath, increased respiratory rate, there was movement of the accessory muscles of respiration, nostril breathing, and the patient complained of chest pain. Nursing problems that occur in each patient are ineffective breathing patterns and chronic pain so that interventions that can be implemented are by performing airway management such as providing oxygenation, providing a semi-Fowler position, deep breathing relaxation. Nursing implementation is carried out independently or in collaboration. Nursing evaluation showed that the breathing pattern was ineffective and chronic pain was completely resolved. The combination of deep breathing relaxation and semi-Fowler's position can overcome breathing problems because it can increase blood circulation to the respiratory muscles. Smooth blood flow will bring more nutrients and oxygen to the respiratory muscles. This trained respiratory muscle strength can increase lung compliance and prevent the alveoli from collapsing.
