An optimal physical, intellectual, emotional development of a person, and this development goes hand in hand with others, this is called mental health. Humans are biopsycho-sociospiritual beings, meaning that humans are complete creatures in which there are biological, psychological, social, and spiritual elements. Individuals who experience problems can overcome them by using a variety of coping mechanisms, the inability to deal with problems constructively is the main cause of pathological behavior or psychiatric disorders. Several types of mental disorders that we often find in society, one of which is schizophrenia, more than 70% of patients experience schizophrenia with hallucinations. For this reason, we need an intervention that must be done for patients with auditory hallucinations. One form of intervention is to provide thought stopping therapy for patients with auditory hallucinations. Aim: The writing of this scientific paper aims to apply mental nursing care and tought stopping therapy to patients with auditory hallucinations problems at Mental Hospital Ernaldi Bahar, South Sumatra Province in 2021. Method: The application of nursing care using a case study approach and journal application in the form of thought stopping therapy by providing nursing care to patients with sensory perception disorders: auditory hallucinations. The samples are Tn.O, Tn.A and Tn. E, the data that the authors obtained came from studies, interviews, observations, medical records, and nursing care. Result: After applying generalist SP and thought stopping therapy to the three patients for 8 days and 8 meetings, there was a change, namely in the three clients there was a decrease in the frequency of hallucinations and hallucinations experienced by clients did not arise after the implementation of day 8, and clients were also able to control the hallucinations they experienced. Conclusion: The patient is able to control hallucinations by means of thought stopping therapy.
