PENGARUH TINGGI MUKA AIR TANAH DAN PUPUK UREA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN N-TOTAL PADI SAWAH (Oryza sativa L.) PADA TANAH RAWA LEBAK
Rice is one of the plants that can grow well in flooded conditions. The availability of sufficient water is an advantage for the growth of rice plants, especially in the vegetative phase which takes longer. Inpara rice is one of the varieties provided for swamp land. In addition to water requirements, soil pH and N levels are one of the factors that affect the improvement of swamp soil which is known to be acidic and has minimal nutrient content. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of groundwater level and urea fertilizer and their interaction on vegetative growth of rice plants, soil pH and total soil N content. The parameters of the research observed were the height of the rice plant, the number of leaves of the rice plant, the soil pH, and the total N of the soil. Based on the results of this study, it is known that the water table has a very significant effect on the increase in height and number of leaves of rice plants, while urea fertilizer treatment has no significant effect on the height and number of leaves of rice plants. The treatment of ground water level on rice plant height with the highest average was obtained in treatment T4 (water level 5 cm). The number of leaves with the highest average was obtained in treatment T3 (water level 0 cm). The water level treatment and the interaction between water level and urea fertilizer treatment had a significant effect on the total N content of the swamp soil used in this study and the highest average was obtained in the T2 treatment of 0.10%.
