PENGARUH PEMBERIAN TEPUNG CANGKANG TELUR AYAM PETELUR (GALLUS GALLUS DOMESTICUS) TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN SELADA (LACTUCA SATIVA L.)
The purpose of this study was to determine whether eggshell flour had an effect on the growth and yield of lettuce. This research was conducted from November 4, 2020 to December 30, 2020. This research was conducted in a Bukit Kecil, Palembang using a Completely Randomized Design with 7 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments in this study consisted of 7 levels, namely P0 (Control), P1 (5 g eggshell flour), P2 (10 g eggshell flour), P3 (15 g eggshell flour), P4 (20 g eggshell flour), P5. (25 g eggshell flour), P6 (30 g eggshell flour). The parameters observed in this study were plant height, number of leaves, soil pH, shoot dry weight, root dry weight, root dry weight, root length, leaf area, and leaf growth rate. The results of this study indicate that laying hens eggshell flour tends to improve soil pH with the best results in treatment P1 with an average pH of 7.33. This is because eggshell flour has not been fully decomposed so that the nutrients contained in eggshell flour cannot be absorbed by lettuce plants so that growth and lettuce yields are less than optimal.
