PENGARUH STUNTING TERHADAP KARIES GIGI PADA ANAK USIA SEKOLAH DASAR DI KECAMATAN TUAH NEGERI
Background: Stunting conditions can cause impaired child development including developmental disorders in the oral cavity. Stunting children are more susceptible to dental caries due to changes in saliva characteristics. The nutritional status of school-age children is a continuation of the development of the nutritional status of toddlers. This study will discuss the effect of stunting on dental caries in elementary school-age children. Objective: To analyze the effect of stunting on dental caries in elementary school-age children in Tuah Negeri District. Methods: This research is an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design. The sample of this study was elementary school students in Tuah Negeri District, totaling 76 people who were selected randomly. The DMFT examination was performed to see decayed, missing, and filled teeth. Data processing technique applies analytical technique Chi-square and multiple logistic regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 25 Software.
