The research of Gastropods community in Ringgung Waters, South Lampung was conducted from 30th June until July 2007. The objectives of the research are to know the Gastropods community in Ringgung Waters, especially at location with seagrass and without seagrass. The sample of Gastropods were taken from all plots with the area of 25x25 cm2. The environmental factors such as temperature of waters, salinity, pH, DO, and sediment were measured. From this research 25 species of 14 families were found. The highest density of Gastropods was at station 5 (station with seagrass) equal to 1360 ind/m2 and the lowest density was at stadon 3 (station without seagrass) equal to 480 ind/m2. The results revealed that density at location with seagrass was higher compared to the location without seagrass. The diversity index location with seagrass ranging from 1,667 to 1,808, whereas at location without seagrass ranging from 1,407 to 1,545. The results revealed that diversity index at location with seagrass was higher compared to the location without seagrass. The evenness index location with seagrass ranging from 0,616 to 0,638, whereas at location without seagrass ranging from 0,549 to 0,671. The dominance index location with seagrass ranging from 0,267 to 0.2759, whereas at location without seagrass ranging from 0,307 to 0,425. The similarity index in research station ranging from 46,67% to 83,87%.
