The title this Research is the wides analysis of coral reef using Landsat-7 ETM+ satellite data at Pongok waters South Bangka Regency. In South Bangka Regency the information a wides of coral reef at Pongok Island Waters is nothing. The purpose of This research to know about the wides of coral reef at Pongok Island waters and to map that ecosystem using satellite data Landsat-7 ETM+. This research is devided in three phases, : 1. Preparation satellite image data, include data import, cropping area, geometric correction, transformation and classification ; 2. Ground check, are observation on coral reef position by using GPS, observation species of coral reef and observation brightness, themperature and salinity waters ; 3. Identification coral species. This research is conducted at Pongok Island waters at the South Bangka Regency in july 2006. Pongok Island is located on 2°49’21” - 2°54’52’' LS and 10701’1” - 107°6’11” BT identificated of corals is conducted in Program Studi Ilmu Kelautan Mathematic and Science Faculty University of Sriwijaya laboratory. The results of this research showed that the wides of coral reef at Pongok Island Waterss is 1739,250 Ha. The species of coral are found has growth type branch (acropora) and sheets (foliose). The species of coral are : Acropora aspera, Acropora brueggemanni, Acropora elseyi, Acropora formosa, Acropora hyacinthus, Acropora tenuis, Ancanthaster planci, Anemone, Diploastrea heliopora, Goniastrea palauensis, Goniopora columna, Goniopora lobata, Heliopora coerulea, Leptoria phyrygia, Lobophyllia hemprichii, Montipora aequituberculata, Montiopora foliosa, Mycedium elephantotus, Pectinia alcicornis, Pectinia lactuta, Platygyra verweyi, Porites australiensis, Porites cylindrical, Porites lutea, Porites nigrescens, Porites rus, Sinularia spp, Spons, Symphyllia agaricia.
