Spodoptera frugiperda J.E Smith (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) is an invasive pest that attacks maize in Indonesia that entered on 2019. As a new pest, the research about S. frugiperda is nessecary to be conducted with the aimed of determining the population of eggs, larvae and adult S. frugiperda during on maize season and discovering the abundance and species diversity of predatory arthropods S. frugiperda during on maize season. This research has been carried out in three land locations in North Indralaya, namely Timbangan, Tanjung Pering Village and Lingkar Citra. Observing the abundance of egg populations, larvae of S. frugiperda use side methods with W patth in 4 plots of each research field. The observation of predatory arthropods using census methods on the entire land area was documented using mobile phone with the addition of macro lenses and the observations of adult S. frugiperda was using light traps installed on each of the 4 plots of land, adult S. frugiperda obtained and trapped insects are calculated and documented in the Laboratory of Entomology, Department of Pests and Plant Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. Observations were conducted during a maize season aged 14 HST−70 HST every one week at the research ground. The results showed that the average egg colonies found during a maize, Timbangan 4 egg colonies, Lingkar Citra 3 egg colonies and Tanjung Pering 6 egg colonies. The highest average egg colony in Tanjung Pering was 2.75/11 total egg colony was 21 days after planting. Lingkar Citra of the highest egg colony 14 hst average of 2/8 total egg colony, Timbangan the highest 14 hst and 35 hst with average of 1.75/7 total egg colony. The highest larvae population was at 14 days after planting with 27 larvae with average of 6.75, Lingkar Citra the highest average was 4 larvae/20 plants 28 days after planting, Tanjung Pering the highest average was 3 larva/20 plants 21 days after planting. The average adult found during on maize seasson on Timbangan was 1 adult, Lingkar Citra 1 adult and Tanjung Pering 1 adult. The results showed that were 37 predatory arthropods were found, including 25 orders of Araneae, 2 orders of Hemiptera, 9 orders of Coleoptera and 1 order of Dermaptera. The highest abundance of predatory arthropods was found at Timbangan field with a total of 553 insects, Lingkar Citra with 518 insects and the lowest abundance was found at Lingkar Citra with a total of 403 insects. Order Coleoptera which was found consist of 8 species from family Coccinelidae, 1 species Staphylinidae, Hemiptera consist of 1 species from family Reduviidae and 1 species Coreidae, Hemiptera consist of 1 species from Forficulidae, order Araneae Oxyopidae 6 species, Thomisidae 7 species, Salticidae 2 species, Araneidae 4 species, Lycosidae 3 species, Sparassidae 1 species and Anyphaenidae 1 species. The conclusion is that were the abundance of eggs, larvae and adult of S. frugiperda increased in the vegatative phase and decreased in the generative phase. The abundance and diversity of predatory arthropods is influenced by diverse plants, the more diverse the plants around the land, the higher the diversity and abundance of predatory arthropods.
