MEMPELAJARI KEMIRINGAN DAN KECEPATAN PUTAR AYAKAN PADA ALAT GRADING DUKU (Lansium domesticum Corr) SISTEM PUTAR
The objective of this study was to study the inclination degree and rotational speed of screen in order to achieve optimum operation of duku fruit diameter-based grader. The research was conducted from December 2006 to Agustus 2007 at Laboratory of AgriculturaJ Engineering Study Program, Agricultural Faculty, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. This study used two treatment factors with four replications. These factors consisted of screen rotational speeds (Aj = 20 rpm and A2 = 30 rpm) and inclination degrees of screen (Bi = 0°, B2 = 2,5° and B3 = 5°). The observed data were consisted of graded duku fruits, blocked duku fruits, and mixed duku fruits. Materials used in this study were duku fruits, whereas the equipments and tool were one set of duku fruits grader, workshop appliance, electromotor, reducers, and lamp dimmer The results showed that the highest graded duku fruits was found in 20 rpm and 0° treatment combination having weight of 1,855 g and separation efficiency of 61.8 %, whereas the lowest blocked duku fruits was found in 30 rpm and 0° treatment combination having weight of 150 g. The lowest mixed duku fruit found in 20 rpm and 0° treatment combination having weight of 957.5 g.
