After a brief trip through the history of the railway, from its origin until nowadays, this book describes the features of the elements that make up the railway super-structure, along with the execution of the specialist teams of some singular works. likewise, the book depelops a complete study of the camber theory applied to the railway, as well as to the bases and standars to be considered for the design of the railway super-structure. it explains the propeties of the clothoid regarding its use as transition curves, and subsequently the method of "straightening of railway curves" is covered in great detail,with practical examples apllied to the different type of curves we can find, including the introduction to the use of the sofware developed by himself in order to solve faster and easier this complex task. likewise,it is studied the operation of a heavy- duty tamper machine and a special chapter is devoted for the explanation of the railway electrication, describing the main elements that make it up and the standars and codec followed during its installation. finally, within the chapter of railway headrooms, the calculation methods and the representation in conventional railway and tramways are explained.
