Background: Helminth infection is a disease caused by intestinal worms that infect through the soil to human which is still being neglected. The world report approximately 24% of the world's population has worms, including school-aged children. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nutritional intake and the incidence of helminth infection. Method: The method of this research is an analytic observational with a crosssectional design. The population in the study was carried out on elementary schoolaged children. As the number of students is determined by the quota sampling technique, each of which is equal to 40 students. The tools used in this study were questionnaires and stool examination using the Kato-Katz method. By statistical analysis - chi square test and multivariate analysis using logistic regression test. Results: The study was obtained from 108 respondents as many as 37 (34.3%) respondents who were positively infected with worms, there was a relationship between protein intake, iron intake, father's occupation, and use of footwear with the incidence of worms infection with P value < 0.05. The results of multiple logistic regression test showed that the dominant variable affecting the incidence of helminthiasis was the father's occupation (PR 3.866 CI 1.427-10.470). Conclusion: it was found that there was a significant relationship between protein intake, father's occupation, iron intake, parents' income, and footwear use with the incidence of helminthiasis, so it is important to increase knowledge and awareness about personal hygiene and family hygiene because once one member of family does not have a proper personal hygiene and sanitation, the helmith infection would be transmitted to all family members.
