THE ROLE OF FEAR OF FAILURE TOWARD PROCRASTINATION IN DOING THESIS James Hutabarat1, Rosada Dwi Iswari2 ABSTRACT The aim of the study is determining whether tehere is a role of fear of failure toward procrastination in doing thesis. This study hypothesizes that there is role of fear of failure toward procrastination. This study involves the participation of 200 students from universities in Indonesia who are working on theses and uses 62 students as participation in the psychological scale trial. The sampling technique was nonprobability sampling. The study measurements are fear of failure scale that refer to Ferrari (1995) aspects and academic procrastination refer to Conroy’s (2002) aspects. Data analysis used simple regression.
