THE ROLE LOCUS OF CONTROL ON ACADEMIC PROCRASTINATION IN FINAL STUDENTS IN COMPLETING THESIS DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC 〖Hesti Wijayanti〗^1, 〖Rosada Dwi Iswari〗^2 ABSTRACT This study aims to determine whether there is a role of locus of control on academic procrastination. The hypothesis of this research is that there is a a role of locus of control on academic procrastination. Respondents in this study amounted to 150 students of the 2016, 2017, and 2018who is in the stage of working on a thesis during the covid-19 pandemic. The sampling technique used was incidental sampling. This study uses two main scales as a measuring tool, namely the Academic Procrastination scale which refers to the aspects of Ferrari, Johnson dan McCown (1995) and locus of control scale which refers to the dimensions of Rotter (1966). The results of the regression analysis showed that the internal locus of control with academic procrastination had a significance value of 0.088 (p>0.05) with a value of r = 0.116. These results indicate that the internal locus of control does not have a significant role on the academic procrastination variable.
