Pineapple (Ananas comosus (L.) (Merr) is one of promising commodity in Indonesia. The crop contribute significantly to economic development in the country, especially in rural areas. Pineapple belongs to Family Bromiliaceae. During its cultivation, pineapple farmers face several obstacles, one of the obstacles is the infestation of pest (plant disturbing organism) especially insect and fungi. One of fungal species infecting pineapple is Curvularia sp, the causal agent of leaf spot disease of the crop. The objective of the research was to know the development of leaf spot disease on pineapple in Village Menanti, Sub-District Kelakar, District Muara Enim. The benefit of the research was to provide information and knowledge to farmer society concerning the development of leaf spot disease caused by Curvularia sp on pineapple.. The research was conducted in October 2021 and the experiment was arranged in a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 2 treatments and 10 replications. The treatments were P1: is inculation of Curvularia (without wounding) P2 : inoculation of Curvularia (with wounding). The results showed that sample taken from Village Menanti, Sub-District Kelekar, District Muara Enim proved that the leaf spot disease of pineapple was caused by Curvularia sp.
