ISOLASI DAN UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI SENYAWA METABOLIT SEKUNDER DARI FRAKSI ETILASETAT KULIT BATANG SEMPRAWANG (DILLENIA ALATA)
Semprawang plant (Dillenia alata) is a traditional medicine of the family Dilleniaceae used by the musi family community, Banyuasin empirically for the treatment of scurvy. Ethanol extract leaves D. alata shows active anti-bacterial against bacteria Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, but no scientific information has been found of the chemical content of the bark extract semprawang. This study aims to isolate secondary metabolite compounds from the skin of semprawang stems and determine their antibacterial activity against E. coli and S. aureus bacteria. The research began with maceration extraction and separation and purification was conducted by chromatography techniques. Thestructure of secondary metabolite compounds of the bark was determined based on analysis of FT-IR spectroscopic data, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR and compared to literature data. Determination of antibacterial activity is carried out by diffuse method. One pure compound was successfully isolated in the form of white solids. Based on the analysis of spectroscopic data and comparing data on literature, the isolated compounds are triterpenoid groups of coetjapat acid. Isolate is active antibacterial with a minimum concentration of bland (KHM) 125 against both E. coli and S. aureus bacteria. Keywords: Triterpenoids, koetjapat acid, Antibacterial, Bark, Dillenia Alata
