KORELASI HBA1C DENGAN PROFIL LIPID DAN RASIO LIPID PADA DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2
Background: Diabetes mellitus is one of the fastest-growing health problems globally. Diabetes mellitus can cause various complications in the microvascular, macrovascular, and central nervous system if not controlled properly. These complications can be prevented by optimal glycemic control by measuring HbA1c. Dyslipidemia in DM patients further increases the risk of cardiovascular disease. The relationship between HbA1c and lipid profile is theoretically due to a decrease in insulin function. This study was conducted to analyze the correlation of HbA1c with lipid profile and lipid ratio in type 2 DM patients at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Methods: This study was an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional design. Sampling was done by consecutive sampling technique with a sample size of 53. In this study, secondary data was collected on inpatient and outpatient type 2 DM patients from the Medical Record Installation of Dr. RSUP. Moh. Hoesin Palembang for the period January 1, 2020-December 31, 2020. The data obtained were then analyzed. Results: The results of this study showed that there was a significant positive correlation (p0.05) between HbA1c and total cholesterol (r = 0.032, p = 0.411), LDL-C (r = 0.045, p = 0.374), HDL-C (r = -0.162, p = 0.124), and triglycerides (r = 0.154, p = 0.136). Conclusion: There is a significant weak positive correlation between HbA1c with TC/HDL-C Ratio and LDL-C/HDL-C Ratio.
