ANALISIS PERANAN SUBSEKTOR PERIKANAN TANGKAP TERHADAP PEMBANGUNAN DAERAH DAN PENENTUAN KOMODITAS HASIL TANGKAPAN UNGGULAN DI KOTA SIBOLGA
During 2007-2011, the average of fish captures fisheries production in Sibolga City reached 12,60 % of North Sumatra totals GDP and 23,70 % of Sibolga City total GDP. The aim of this research was to detenmine the role of fisheries subsector and identifying the superior commodity in Sibolga City. This research is a case study with descriptive analysis used shift share, multiplier effect and location quotient analysis. The shift share analysis shows the contribution of capture fisheries in Sibolga in 2011 for agricultural sector amounted to 97,91% and for total GDP was 22,85%. LQ calculations based on GDP and labor show the fisheries subsector is a basis sector with LQ values greater than 1. The average results of the multiplier effect analysis based on GDP and labor indicators was 4,22 and 4,90. Determination of the superiors commodity for fisheries subsector, which is Barramundi (Lates calcarifer), Emperors fish (Lethrinus spp.), Red snappers (Lutjanus spp.) of demersal fish group. In small pelagic was Scad fish (Decapterus sp.\ Bali sardinella (Sardinella lemuru) and Anchovies fish (Stolephorus spp.). Large pelagic fish group consisted Kawa kawa/Eastem little tuna (Euthynnus affinis). Known of the superior commodities would be great key to promote them to improve income production values and contribution in Sibolga City.
