It has been done the examination characterization of ketapang seed oil (Terminalia catappa Linn.) results of purification with activated carbon.The research’s purpose are to define optimum condition increasing activated carbon to physicthe-chemist character of oil. The result of research show that increasing of activated carbon 4.10-4 g/mL oil show that optimum condition to adsorption and produced 0.924 g/mL of specific weight, 1.4464 of reffaction index, 32 NTU of turbidity point, 1.5227 poise of viscosity, 1.3434 mg KOH/g oil of acid number, 0.5129 meq/kg oil of peroxide number and 6.5469 KOH/g oil of saponification number.
