HUBUNGAN PERILAKU MEROKOK DENGAN RESPON IMUN PASCA VAKSINASI KEDUA COVID-19
Background: Smoking behavior is a habit that is often carried out by people in developing countries such as Indonesia. Vaccination is carried out with the aim of providing protection against viruses in order to increase levels of neutralizing antibody (IgG). Smoking affects the effectiveness of vaccines because it cancauses impaired adaptive immune response so that the impact on the body's immune response to be low after vaccination. Therefore, this research was conducted to find outThe relationship between smoking behavior and the immune response after the second COVID-19 vaccination. Method: This study is an analytic observational study using a cross-sectional or potong lintang study design individuals who carry out the second COVID-19 vaccination from Educational Institutions and Government Agencies in Palembang City who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria with the Consecutive Sampling technique. This research was conducted from March to July 2021. The data in this study were obtained using a questionnaire and venous blood samples were taken to determine the levels of IgG SARS CoV-2 antibodies. The data were then analyzed univariately and bivariately (to determine the relationship between variables) using the SPSS application. Results: Of the 71 research subjects, 11 samples were found who smoked and all of them were male (15.5%). The highest age group was 18-25 years people (38.0%).
