Exercise habits are identical to the concept of FITT (Frequency, Intensity, Type, Time) to determine the effectiveness of the exercise performed. The body's immune system is responsive to exercise habits so that it can increase the immune response to the constituent antigens contained in the vaccine. Exercise can reduce the effect of immunosenescence, increase the alertness, number and function of immune cells. The mechanism of increased post-vaccination response is caused by an increase in the sensitivity of β2 adrenergic receptors, an increase in the number of B cells, plasmablasts, cytotoxic T cells and the response of interferonγ. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between exercise habits and immune response post COVID-19 vaccination in Palembang City. This study uses a cross sectional approach towards individuals who has received the second dose of inactivated COVID-19 vaccine, with consecutive sampling which consists of 78 samples. The data in the study were taken by interviewing exercise habits 1 month prior to the vaccination, also 5 cc of venous blood was taken at ±28-30 days after the second vaccination. Blood was processed into serum for the examination of IgG anti s1 RBD SARS-CoV-2 levels using the Abbott kit with the CMIA method. In this study, the frequency distribution of the sample was dominant in young adults (56.4%), females (52.6%) and low IgG levels (52.6%). The interval of IgG levels in the sample was 42.1 – 12971.3 AU/mL, with an average IgG level of 1494.95 AU/mL and a median of 794.35 AU/mL. The distribution of data is dominant in the group with exercise habits (64.1%), with the frequency of exercise is less than ideal (33.3%), the type of exercise is aerobic exercise (59%), the intensity of light exercise (46.2%), and the duration of exercise is very long (20.5%). There was no significant relationship between exercise habits (frequency, type, intensity, and duration of exercise) with post-vaccination immune response (P value > 0.05).
