PREPARASI DAN KARAKTERISASI SUBMIKRO PARTIKEL KITOSAN-ALGINAT PEMBAWA EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN INAI (Lawsonia inermis Linn.) DENGAN VARIASI KONSENTRASI CaCl2
This research was performed to determine the leverage from variations of CaCl2 concentration on the submicro particle formula. Henna leaf extract contains several secondary metabolite, namely flavonoids, tannins, and alkaloids. It is known that the content of flavonoids in henna leaf extract is 41.419 mg / g. The Thin Layer Chromatography analysis showed henna leaf extract containing flavonoids compounds with an Rf value 0,77. Submicro manufactured particles was use an ionic gelation method that disperse henna leaf extract into chitosan then doing drop by drop of natrium alginate and CaCl2 as a crosslinker, then used three variations of the formula from three of volume used of CaCl2: 20, 40, and 100 µL. The results obtained of %EE in formulas 1, 2 and 3 were 96,280%, 93,456%, and 92,117%. The results of submicro particle characterization for diameter, PDI, and zeta potential using a particle size analyzer (PSA) at the optimum formula were 593 nm, 0.248, and +35,07 mV. The results of the stability test on submicro particle formulas used heating cooling cycle that showed the biggest decrease in the formula 3 which was 8,748%.
