PROFIL DAN GAMBARAN KLINIS PASIEN MIASTENIA GRAVIS DI RSUP. DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PERIODE JANUARI-JUNI 2021
Myasthenia gravis is a rare disease, which is an autoimmune disorder that occurs due to the production of specific autoantibodies that bind mainly to the acetylcholine receptor (AchR) at the neuromuscular junction (NMJ). The clinical symptoms of myasthenia gravis are a decrease in muscle strength with repetitive activities. This study aims to determine the profile and clinical description of myasthenia gravis, especially in myasthenia gravis patients at RSUP. Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang period January–June 2021. This type of research is descriptive research. Sampling used a total sampling technique, namely myasthenia gravis patients who met the research inclusion criteria. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were taken using research questionnaires and Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale questionnaires via google form. Data processing was carried out by univariate analysis using the Statistical Product & Service Solution (SPSS) program. The results showed the frequency distribution of myasthenia gravis patients in RSUP. Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang based on age, gender, duration of disease, clinical symptoms, clinical classification, comorbidities, lifestyle behavior and therapy. It can be concluded that the characteristics of myasthenia gravis patients in RSUP. Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang is mostly female and aged 50 years. The majority had ocular symptoms and were taking oral pyridostigmine therapy.
