ANALISIS KEPATUHAN PENGGUNAAN OBAT PADA PASIEN GLAUKOMA PRIMER SUDUT TERBUKA DI RSUP DR MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG TAHUN 2018-2021
Glaucoma is a multifactorial optic neuropathy characterized by cupping of the optic disc, decreased visual field, and increased intraocular pressure. Glaucoma is the leading cause of permanent blindness in the world. However, blindness due to glaucoma can be prevented if you get effective and regular treatment. Adherence to treatment in chronic diseases is very important to achieve the goals and success of therapy. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of adherence to drug use and the characteristics of primary angle glaucoma patients at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. This study is a descriptive study, using secondary data from medical records and primary data through filling out questionnaires. The total research sample was 42 samples that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of drug use adherence in respondents with primary open-angle glaucoma were 66.7%. mostly female (60.7%), the last education at the senior high school level (39.3%). Most of the respondents' clinical characteristics were 60.7% of respondents did not have comorbidities, had suffered from the disease for 3-5 years (50%), consumed 2 drugs (67.9%) for a long time, did not feel the side effects of treatment which means (100%) and has high family support (89.3%). Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that primary open-angle glaucoma patients at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin has a high level of adherence to drug use.
