PREPARASI DAN KARAKTERISASI CaO DARI CANGKANG KERANG DARAH (Anadara granosa) DAN APLIKASINYA DALAM SINTESIS BIODIESEL DARI MINYAK JELANTAH
Preparation of calsium oxide (CaO) from cockle shell (Anaciara Granosa) through decomposition at various temperature i.e. 600°, 700°, 8000, 900°. 1000°, 1100°C has been carried out. Characterization of CaO from decomposition was used XRD. The results, of XRD showed that diffraction pattem of CaO at 900°C similar with diffraction of CaO from JCPDS file Standard the 20 value 34,2°, 37,3°, 58,3°, 64,1°, and 67,3°. The cockle shell at decomposition 900°C was applied in the biodiesel synthesis from waste cooking oil in transesterification reaction resulted viscosity value 0,87171 g/cm3 and density value 5,8131 mm2/s (cst) in accordance with Standard biodiesel by SNI, where the value of density SNI 0,85-0,89 g/cm3 and viscosity value 2,3-6,0 mm2/s (cst).
