FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KEJADIAN CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME (CTS) PADA PEGAWAI BANK BTN DI KOTA PALEMBANG TAHUN 2021
Background: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a disease or a group of symptoms caused by pressure on median nerve in the ca nalis carpi of the wrist. CTS often occurs in people who work primarily using the upper limbs that involve flexion and extension moveme nts, namely the wrist, as happened in bank employees. Therefore, the researcher is interested in conducting a research on the factors that can potentially influence the incidence of CTS amongst bank employees. Methods: Results: Analytical Observation Based on 119 research subjects, 76 people experienced CTS (63.9%). Most of the subjects aged obese with BMI below 25, 4 years of working time as many as 86 people (72.3%). Meanwhile, the frequency of repetitive movements was at most 97 people (81.5%). In this study, there was a significant relationship between CTS and repetitive motion. Conclusions: The incidence of CTS i n Bank BTN employees is quite high, as many as 76 people (63.9%) of 119 respondents. There is a significant correlation between CTS (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome) and repetitive movements. While CTS with age, gender, BMI, years of working time and duration of wo rk has no significant correlation.
