KEMATIAN MATERNAL DAN FAKTOR – FAKTOR DETERMINAN YANG MEMPENGARUHINYA DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG
Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is one of the indicators in assessing the health status of a country, especially in maternal and child health services. All of factors that influence maternal mortality (maternal death) can be grouped in a simple framework. The determinants factors were categorized as distant, intermediate, and outcome factors. This study aims to determine maternal mortality and it’s contributing determinant factors in RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. This study was an analytic observational study with a case-control design. Data were collected from medical record database of inpatient obstetric patients at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang between 1st January 2018 – 31st December 2020. A total of 45 cases and 90 controls were included used purposive sampling to obtain the sample in this study. Data were analyzed using chi-square test and binary logistic regression on the SPSS 28.0 software. The result of this study shows a statistically significant association between pregnancy complications, childbirth complications, puerperal complications, place of residence, number of ANC visits, medical history, referral status, and delayed of treatment with maternal mortality; whereas, no significant association was found between age, parity, pregnancy distance, nutritional status, education level, and occupation with maternal mortality. Based on multivariate analysis, the most contributing determinant factors for maternal mortality were delayed of treatment and pregnancy complications It can be concluded that the most contributing determinant factors for maternal mortality were delayed of treatment and pregnancy complications.
