KARAKTERISTIK PASIEN BATU SALURAN KEMIH DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PERIODE JANUARI-DESEMBER 2020
Background. Urinary tract stones is a condition where there is a hard mass like a stone found in the upper or lower urinary tract. The incidence of urinary tract stones is estimated at around 12% of the global population, while in Indonesia it is estimated that there are 170,000 cases per year. This study aims to determine the characteristics of patients with urinary tract stones at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang period January-December 2020. Method. This study is an analitic study with a cross-sectional design and uses secondary data in the form of medical record data at the Medical Record Installation of RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang period JanuaryDecember 2020 who met the inclusion criteria and did not have the exclusion criteria. Result. Out of the 93 samples, the characteristics of patients with urinary tract stones were mostly found in the group aged 51-60 years (34.4%), male gender (63.4%), working as farmers/laborers (34.4). Most of them had a normal BMI (32.3%), had a chief complaint of low back/abdominal pain (47.3%), stone location in the upper urinary tract (78.5%), stone size >20 mm (44.1 %), and managed by open surgery (51.6%). There is a significant relationship between age with a p value of 0.003 and gender with a p value of 0.024 on the location of stones in patients with urinary tract stones. Conclusion. Patient with urinary tract stone are mostly 51-60 years old, male, work as farmers/laborers, have a normal BMI, stones in the upper urinary tract, stone size > 20 mm, and treated with open surgery. There is a relationship between age and gender on the location of stones in patients with urinary tract stones.
