PREVALENSI TEMUAN LESI PERIAPIKAL PADA RADIOGRAF PANORAMIK DI RSKGM PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN TAHUN 2020
Background: Oral diseases was reported as the most prevalent disease in Indonesia. Periapical lesion is a local respond from hard tissue around apical tissue that was caused by pulp necrosis or through a periapical tissue destruction. This lesion was an advanced version from caries and periapical disease, also was caused by mechanical, thermal, and chemical irritation, This study aims to determine the prevalence of periapical lesion finding on panoramic radiograph in RSKGM South Sumatera 2020. Method: This descriptive study used 2020 panoramic radiograph as secondary data, with total of 335 panoramic radiograph as samples, and was identified directly to determine whether there was periapical lesion and then the result was presented numerically to know the prevalence. Result: There was 229 panoramic radiograph that shown periapical lesion from total of 335 panoramic radiograph, that was classified as apical periodontitis (29,0%), periapical abscess (47,2%), periapical granuloma (12,5%), periapical cyst (3,9%), and sclerosing osteitis (7,4%). Conclusion: Prevalence of periapical lesion that was obtained from the research in RSKGM South Sumatera using 2020 medical reports was 68,3%.
