HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP TERHADAP PERILAKU AKTIVITAS FISIK PADA MAHASISWA 2017 PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN DOKTER UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
Backgrounds. Undergraduate students are one of the groups of people who lack in doing physical activity. Many factors cause a person to not have enough physical activity including lack of free time, tight lecture schedules, lack of knowledge and attitudes about physical activity behavior that should be applied. Lack of physical activity can cause various kinds of health problems for the body and has the potential to cause various diseases. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes towards physical activity behavior in 2017 students of the Sriwijaya University Medical Education Study Program. Methods. The type of this research is observational analytic with cross sectional design. The research was conducted at the Faculty of Medicine, Sriwijaya University in January 2021. The sample of this study was 176 students of the Sriwijaya University Medical Education Study Program in 2017. This study used a knowledge domain questionnaire, an attitude domain and a Baecke questionnaire to determine knowledge and attitudes towards physical activity behavior in students. Results. In this study, 52 (89.7%) had good knowledge of strenuous physical activity behavior and 68 (91.8%) students had good attitude towards strenuous physical activity behavior. Conclusions. The results of this study showed that there is a significant relationship between knowledge and attitudes about physical activity on physical activity behavior (p = 0.000) Keywords: physical activity, knowledge, attitude, behavior physical activity
