Backgrounds. Intradialytic hypertension is an intradialytic complication that associated with an increased risk of hospitalization and mortality and it is also associated with the decreased of survival ability on chronic kidney patients who undergoing hemodialiysis. Various pathophysiological theories along with the causative factors have been proposed to try to explain the occurence of intradialytic hypertension. This study aims to determine the risk factors that contribute to the incidence of intradialytic hypertension on chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Methods. This study is an analytic observational study with cross sectional design. The sample of this study were chronic kidney disease patients who underwent hemodialysis at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang who met the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. Data on blood pressure, body weight, and patient’s interview were measured directly by researchers by following the health protocols during the Covid-19 pandemic. Data were analyzed using multivariate logistic regression model to find the most influential factors on the incidence of intradialytic hypertension in this study. Results. The characteristics of the sample in this study were mostly female(52,6%), domiciled in Palembang (78,4%), and Malay (64,9%). The prevalence of intradialytic hypertension in this study was 25,8%. The results of the multivariate logistic regression model showed that Interdialytic Weight Gain (IDWG) was the most influential risk factor for the incidence of intradialytic hypertension (p value=0,015, Exp(B)=4,614, CI 95%=1,341 – 15,879), followed by smoking history (p value=0,027, Exp(B)=3,754, CI 95%=1,159 – 12,155). Conclusions. The most influential risk factor for the incidence of intradialytic hypertension in this study was Interdialytic Weight Gain (IDWG) followed by the smoking history. Keywords. Intradialytic Hypertension, Risk Factor
