HUBUNGAN KUALITAS TIDUR DENGAN CAPAIAN HASIL PEMBELAJARAN PADA SISWA BOARDING SMPIT IZZUDDIN
Sleep is a repeated forms of consciousness that decreases physiologically and is reversible, namely when the overall cognitive function declines so that the brain is unable to fully respond to the surrounding stimulus. Sleep plays an important role in general health, physical performance and cognitive function, especially in children. Several studies report that sleep quality has a significant relation with memory and academic achievement in students. Therefore, a study was conducted to determine the relation between sleep quality and learning outcomes. This research is an analytic observational study with a cross sectional research design. The research data used are the data from the results of self-report questionnaires filled by boarding students of SMPIT Izzuddin and data from schools that meet the inclusion criteria. The sampling technique used is the total sampling method. The data obtained were then analyzed using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. The data is then presented in the form of tables and graphs as well as narratives to interpret the data. The results of the research from 120 students found that 90 (75%) students had a Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index score abobe 5. On average, students have memorized 4.4 juz of Al-Quran with an average mid-term exam score of 85.9. Then, with bivariate analysis, it was found that there was no significant relation between sleep quality and the memorization of the Al-Quran and the average midterm test scores, with a negative correlation direction and a very weak correlation strength level. It can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between sleep quality and learning outcomes for boarding students at SMPIT Izzuddin.
