HUBUNGAN STATUS SOSIAL EKONOMI KELUARGA DENGAN DENTAL NEGLECT PADA ANAK PRA-SEKOLAH
Background: Dental health is very important to be maintained especially in pre-school children. One of the factors that can affect dental health of children is socioeconomic status. A form of parental behavior that ignores their child's dental health is called dental neglect. Dental health problems of children in Indonesia can be seen from the results of RISKESDAS 2018 which shows the incidence of dental problems in the group of children aged 3-4 years is 36.4% and the incidence of never seeing a dentist is 96.3%. Objective: To determine the relationship between family socioeconomic status and dental neglect in pre-school children. Methods: This study used an analytic observational method and a cross-sectional study design. The subjects of this study were the mothers of students of TK Aisyiyah 19 Palembang with a total sampling technique of 63 people. The research instrument was an online questionnaire regarding the family socioeconomic status and the dental neglect scale. Results: There is a significant relationship between family income and dental neglect in pre-school children at TK Aisyiyah 19 Palembang with a p-value of 0.0001, there is a significant relationship between maternal education and dental neglect in pre-school children at TK Aisyiyah 19 Palembang with a p-value
