This study aims to determine the role of family functioning on self-control of adolescents who are addicted to accessing pornographic sites. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a role for family functioning on self-control of adolescents who are addicted to accessing pornographic sites. Participants in this study were teenagers who were addicted to accessing pornographic sites. This study uses two scales as a measuring tool, namely the family functioning scale which refers to the dimensions proposed by McMaster Model of Family Functioning Miller, Ryan, Keitner, Bishop and Epstein, N (2000) and the self-control scale which refers to the types of family functioning. from Averill (1973). The results showed that there was a role between family functioning and self-control in adolescents who were addicted to accessing pornographic sites with a value of r = 0, 101 and p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). These results indicate that there is a negative and significant role between family functioning and self-control. Therefore, the hypothesis in this study can be accepted where the contribution of family functioning to self-control is 10.1%.
