ABSTRACT Complate Blood Count and Complate Urine in Elderly Patients with Urinary Track Infection (Mario Alexander Panjaitan, 30 December 2021, 97 pages) Medical Faculty of Sriwijaya University Introduction: The elderly population is currently increasing. The large number of elderly people who experience UTI can’t be separated from the risk factors that exist in the elderly such as decreased immune function. The variety of symptoms and signs in elderly patients with UTI make the diagnosis of the disease difficult to establish, causing treatment ussualy delayed. In addition to the history and physical examination, the diagnosis of UTI is also confirmed by supporting examinations in the form of complete blood and complete urine tests. Methods: This research was using descriptive observational with a cross-sectional design. Samples were taken using a total sampling technique where all elderly UTI patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang in the period January 2018 - October 2021 will be the sample. Results: Of the 55 samples, the most age range was 60-74 years, female sex and symptomatic UTI. Conclusion: From 55 samples, the average hemoglobin was 11.3 g/dL, the average hematocrit was 33.7%, the average MCV was 84.2 fL, the average MCH was 28.4 pg/cell, the average MCHC was 33, 7 g/dL, average erythrocyte 4.04 x 106/mm3, average leukocyte 14.3 x 103/mm3, average platelet 337.5 x 103/mm3, average leukocyte count (neutrophils 73 ,5%, lymphocytes 17.6%, monocytes 7.31%) median eosinophils 1%, average urine pH 5.71, most of the color yellow, the clarity of urine at most slightly cloudy, average urine specific gravity 1.013, median urinary erythrocyte 3/LPB, median urinary leukocyte 17/LPB, most leukocyte esterase 3+, most negative erythrocyte dipstick, most negative urine nitrite, most negative urine glucose, most negative urinary bilirubin, most negative urinary urobilinogen and ketones a lot of 1 mg/dl and negative.
