EFIKASI MULTIKULTURAL SISWA SMK DAERAH PEDESAAN DAN PERKOTAAN PROVINSI KEPULAUAN BANGKA BELITUNG
Cultural diversity is currently one of the problems found in the school environment. With diverse cultural backgrounds and coming from different regions, students are required to have good multicultural efficacy to be able to interact positively in their school environment. This study aims to determine the differences in the multicultural efficacy of vocational school students in rural and urban areas. This study used comparative descriptive method with quantitative approach. The subjects in this study were students of SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Rimba and SMK Negeri 1 Pangkalpinang. The data collected through the student's multicultural efficacy scale. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant difference of multicultural efficacy between vocational school students in rural and urban areas, from 111 respondents at SMK Negeri 1 Simpang Rimba, there were 71 students (63.96%) in very high multicultural efficacy level, 28 students (25, 23%) in high multicultural efficacy level, 7 students (6.31%) in sufficient multicultural efficacy level, 3 students (2.70%) in low multicultural efficacy level, and 2 students (1.80%) in very low multicultural efficacy level. Whereas at SMK Negeri 1 Pangkalpinang there were 100 students (90.09%) in very high multicultural efficacy level, 6 students (5.41%) in high multicultural efficacy level, 3 students (2.70%) in sufficient multicultural efficacy level, 1 students (0.90%) in low multicultural efficacy level, and 1 student (0.90%) in very low multicultural efficacy level.
